Ring Jacket for H. Stockton
Navy Boiled Wool A-1 Blouson Jacket
It isn’t often that we come across a clothing company that shares a similar path as our own; well-rooted in American traditional, with a penchant for the sartorial elegance only found in Italian garments.
With a history dating back to 1954, Ring Jacket began with a passion for clothing and a commitment to quality. Their goal has always been hand-crafting ready-to-wear garments that are the same caliber as something custom made. Since the beginning, they have produced their tailored clothing in-house, with a full canvas construction that utilizes the hand-sewing skills of the artisans in their Osaka workshop. Known in part for their distinctive fabrics, Ring Jacket collaborates with the finest mills in the world to develop unique cloth that is exclusively their own.
We're elated to bring Ring Jacket's sportswear into our collection this season. The minute that we laid eyes on their A-1 jacket, we were hooked. An updated version of the classic leather bomber jackets used in the 1930s and 40s, the shape takes on a new life in this beautiful wool flannel cloth. The jacket is unlined and feels more like a heavy sweater than an outerwear piece, making it ideal for chilly Autumn days and nights as a standalone piece or, when the weather turns rough, layered under a heavy coat for extra insulation. The dual entry buttoned patch pockets are a functional homage to the history behind this garment.
We know that you'll be blown away by the Ring Jacket A-1, but you'll find out that it feels even better than it looks.
