Rancourt for H. Stockton
Snuff Suede Horsebit Loafer
Rancourt is a name in the footwear world that needs little introduction. Founded in Maine, they've been making incredible, traditionally-constructed moccasin shoes since 1967. Sourcing leathers from the Horween Tannery in Chicago and hand-crafting each pair from beginning to end, Rancourt has made their name synonymous with quality and has never wavered from their position.
The horsebit loafer is a shoe that needs little introduction. An incredibly versatile style that has been a stalwart of American gentlemen for decades, this pair from Rancourt is about as pure as it gets. Hand-crafted in Maine from a beautiful repello suede and lined in glove leather, these feel more like a pair of slippers than an every day shoe. However, since we paired them with a Vibram lugged sole, they're meant to be worn often and can certainly take a beating. Whether with jeans and a flannel shirt or a pair of crisp cotton chinos, a polo and unstructured jacket, these fit just about any bill perfectly. The hand-sewn construction is softer than Goodyear welting or even Blake-rapid stitching, meaning the leather fits and forms to your feet and offers a superior feel over many leather-soled shoes.
Like our tailored garments, we appreciate when a pair of shoes is more than a "one-trick pony" and after you try out these loafers, you'll realize why.
These loafers fit true to size, we recommend taking your usual dress shoe size.
