Brooks England

Mott Medium Weekender

Brooks England has a long and storied history dating back to 1865 when founder, john Boultbee Brooks, left his hometown of Hinckley in Leicestershire with just £20 in his pocket. He headed to Birmingham and in 1866 he established a business in horse harnesses and general leather goods in Great Charles Street under the name JB Brooks & Co. In 1878, the unfortunate death of Mr Brooks’ horse led to a stroke of inspiration. Unable to afford another horse, he borrowed a bicycle in order to commute to work. He found the seat so uncomfortable that he vowed to do something about it and in October 1882, Mr Brooks filed his first saddle patent and his brand was officially born.

Since those days the name Brooks has become synonymous with quality in the cycling world, each piece wrought by hand from the finest leathers and components available. In the last decade, the original slogan 'Saddles, Bags, Etc’ has been adopted again and has given way to a new chapter for the company, featuring some of the best values in cycling/lifestyle luggage on the market.

Brand new for Spring 2016, the Mott weekender is a stylish and voluminous bag made from their proprietary treated organic cotton textile with two riveted carry straps made in vulcanized rubber. The inside is finished with a quilted lining in contrasting yellow tone for easy visibility of its contents. With one external zippered pocket and a detachable shoulder strap which may be adjusted for length.

Their bags are truly utilitarian products that looks like nothing we've ever seen. That is something we can really appreciate and we think you will too.
