Brown Chromexcel Indy Boot
Alden has arguably become the world’s most known maker of fine shoes. Their long lineage, filled with numerous design innovations, forms much of the basis for American footwear.
Developed in the 1930s as a workboot, the Indy (or 403), has been a cornerstone of their collection and has remained relatively unchanged for over 80 years. Made in brown Chromexcel from the Horween tannery, the oily uppers add a level of water-resistance rarely seen from a welted boot; when combined with the cork-filled neoprene sole, they offer superb comfort that can withstand just about any element thrown their way. While they're certainly more on the casual side of the spectrum, Indy boots are a great pairing with heavier tweeds and flannels, but also work great with a cuffed chino or your favorite denim.
Perhaps the best part of the Indy boot is just how great it's going to look after they've been worn and worn, almost a work of art.
